Good to know

Who runs this guide?

Solender Events, a Maryland events company. It also owns Maryland’s DJ and Epic Events, the two entertainment companies marked Recommended. We say so wherever they appear.

How are the other listings chosen?

From public Google Business Profiles: wedding businesses in the District and just over the line, with strong ratings and a real number of reviews. Ratings are Google’s, as of October 2026.

Did anyone pay to be listed?

No. No business paid for a listing, a position or a rating.

What do NW, NE, SE and SW mean?

DC’s four quadrants, measured from the Capitol. Businesses outside the District are marked as the Maryland or Virginia side.

Are the reviews edited?

No. Every review on the Recommended pages is copied word for word, with the reviewer’s name, source and date.

How do I suggest a vendor?

Email info@solenderevents.com with the name and its Google listing. Owners can ask for corrections the same way.
